Little Moments - Big Memories

Month of March for us was exciting; loads of preparation and new path opened in our mission journey. Thank you all of you for standing with us in prayers; God is showing us the right path to move forward in our ministry.

Life changing Moment:
We are in a School teaching social awareness to children on Abuse

We met a girl who just recently completed her twelfth standard; she scored 92% in her board exams. She was a medical aspirant, but now she is working as a daily wager in a factory. Her parents and siblings are struggling to make the family ends meet.

She could not pursue her dream because of three reasons – Poverty, NEET and English Language.

As we spoke to her about it, we were able to understand it is mainly because of NEET (An exam that everyone has to appear to be eligible for Medical seats, conducted by central government and that varies from state board educational syllabus). The books for NEET exams are all published in English, hence it is difficult for government school students to study and clear the exams. On the other hand, there is no coaching center in her village. The nearest one was 110 kms away, she could not afford the classes there.

This opened our hearts to help the children from our own villages who are less privileged to learn the English language and achieve their dream of becoming a medical doctor or any other government officers. As we took a survey, we were able to identify that government school students are the ones who are severely affected.

Hence, we developed a Basic English language course module and knocked on the doors of government school offices to give us an opportunity to teach the kids freely in their own respective class rooms. After many attempts, we got a chance to teach in a Government Elementary School in our district. It was a great time with the kids for the past one month, we are teaching phonetics and the children are having great fun in learning the language in fun way.

Presently, we are teaching in two villages and in a government school for over 85 kids. Through this project we want to help our kids to be eligible and attend their NEET exams with confidence.

From June 2019, we are extending our support to over 250 kids by adding four more government school in our vicinity.

Sunday School ministry: Our ministry with children in the surrounding villages is going very well. We were able to minister to over 120 kids and the Lord is helping us to connect with their parents as well.

Little Moments - Big Memories: Amutha (name changed for security purpose) (37 years), came to our Sunday school and asked us to pray for her family. She also had some serious medical conditions that needed prayer for to be healed. As we prayed, she was in tears and asking the Lord to bless and heal her completely. Our God is amazing, after the prayer her pain reduced completely and she was super happy. Following, She invited us to her home and the Lord opened an opportunity for us to share the Good News.

We praise God for who He is and how He helped us to walk into the lives of people with the power of His Word.

PRAYER CONCERNS:

·      YOUTH CAMP: This month we are partnering with Church to conduct youth camp for over 50 youths. The camp is from 15th – 19th April, 2019. The main focus of the camp is to bring youths closer to God and the camp title is “Youth and Christian life”. Keep us in prayers and for the funds required.

·  VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS): From April 29th to May 04th, 2019, we are organizing VBS for 150 children in our local church. The children will be brought from three remote villages. This is only the program in India where we can share the Good News openly to children. Hence, we want to use this opportunity without fail.

·      MINISTRY REGISTRATION: We are registering the ministry this month (April). We request all of you to continuously to pray for our ministry registration; that will help us to bless the kids with more strong support from the local people and government.

All these little moments in the ministry will become big memories in our lives.

Our beginning: From the year 2008, after our theological studies we began serving the Lord in different capacities with various mission organizations in India. Finding Hope in Death & Grief

Our Precious Team  The month of September is been dreadful and it’s death news all around. We have at-least 30 individuals (Family, Friends and dear ones) who are affected by the pandemic and are under quarantine. Sadly, we lost five members (family & friends) for Covid-19 this month. A good friend of mine; lost his mom and father-in-law within a span of two days. My student and brother in Christ lost his life in Covid. He was very young, just 24 years old, leaving behind his wife who was 3 months pregnant. No words could express the situation that both the families went through. While I was speaking to them, I realized no matter how unexpected or unpredictable the situation is when death occurs, it shakes us to the core and the pain is inescapable. The month of September was a tough journey for both of us. We constantly are praying and comforting all the families who were under treatment and care.
