Hearts Knit Together
In the month
of April, God is teaching us something unique and powerful. He is asking us to
form a team to work together for the vision; the only criteria is “our hearts are being knitted together as one in
unity, love and service” that will help us to walk the journey together.
We kindly ask
each one of you to lead us in support of prayer and blessings; we believe the
Lord will bring the right people at the right time.
Month of reaching out youths and children:
Month of April
is a month of Exams, Vacations and Outreach Events. All the churches and
mission organizations organize programs for children and youths during this month.
Pre-Exam Counselling Sessions:
Major problems
every single students (Urban and Rural) face during exams is Stress. It affects
largely students from rural background because very less counselling sessions
is organized for these children.
The Lord is
good; this year we were able to counsel children and teens appearing for their
board/final exams. We voluntarily went to different government schools and took
permission to speak with the students. We helped the kids to understand the
importance of keeping the stress away before or during exams.
We thank the
Lord for helping us to reach out to these kids.
Youth Camp: Sirupakkam, Tamil Nadu, India
From April 15th
to 20th, we were able to partner with a local ministry to minister
to youths in Tamil Nadu. There was about 50 youths (Boys and Girls); who came from different churches and Christian
homes. It was a residential program organized in a local school facility.
The vision
behind the camp is “to transform youths
to walk with the Lord and enlighten, encourage and empower each one of them to
involve in ministry with their local church”.
“This camp changed my life; especially my walk with
Christ. The teachings, prayer sessions and group discussions were clearly
focused towards walking with Christ. The final sessions
on call for ministry created a great zeal within me to serve the Lord; I prayed
for God’s special call over my life. The Lord honoured my desire and gave me a
definite call for the ministry. This year, I am will be joining a Bible School
to train myself for the ministry ahead” says Babu (Name changed for security purpose)
We taught the youths to stand firm in faith and also
on the Biblical perspective of God’s calling in once life. The teachings helped
them to understand the calling better and we were able to witness them coming
forward to commit themselves for ministry.
Thank you for praying for this camp, we praised God for who He is
and how He helped us to walk into the lives of people with the power of His
Word.
We are planning to organize such programs every year to reach out
the youths of our nations.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
(VBS):
As planned, from April 30th to May 05th,
2019, we were able to volunteer with our local church in their VBS program. In
India, VBS is the only program where we can openly share the Good News to the
children.
This year, there were about 150 children in our local church. The
children were gathered from three remote villages, where no churches or mission
activities exist.
It was a great
experience for parents, staff, volunteers and believers to come together and
make the Gospel come alive to our next generation.
This year’s
theme was “My God and I” and
each day the Kids learned who God is? And how is He closer to them in all
aspects of life.
Children had wonderful time worshiping God and enjoying through action songs, Skits, Games, Bible/missionary stories and also attended separate age-wise group classes.

Before the
week of VBS, we helped the church in making charts, decorative items and placing banners
for the program. During VBS, we joined with 25 teachers and volunteers who
helped kids in crafts, stories, singing, snacking, preparing lunch, recreation,
conducting games and leading the crew. A local mission organization blessed the
children with a small gift for attending the program.
On the final
day, the congregation placed hands on each and every child and prayed for them.
It was a time of prophesying and blessing them in Jesus name. Following the children
participated in performing skit (on Friendship), dancing, reciting memory verse
and action songs for their parents and congregation. Children enjoyed every
part of it and they were so happy performing before their parents.
MINISTRY
REGISTRATION:
We were not
able to register the ministry in this month due to various unavoidable factors.
We
request all of you to continuously to pray for our ministry registration; by
the month of May we are praying to register and minister with the kids without
any issues.
Prayer Concerns:
Pray for another Youth Camp this month
in Bangalore, India. We will be volunteering with a mission organization who
has organized a camp for children from difficult backgrounds. We want to see
the Lord transform their lives.
Thank you so
much for joining us in praying for our mission journey. Please do comment and
send us your response. It will encourage us greatly.
May God's blessings be yours this year!
With
love,
Hanni & Jeba
