Beyond the Obvious: Time to Reach Out
God
is good all the time and he taught to believe beyond (future) the obvious (What we
presently experience or see). He is been walking along with us and helping
us through various godly individuals to look through the ministry with new
ideas and inspirations.
There
are many ways to generate new inputs but we are learning to ask the right kinds
of questions to the right (godly) individuals that can lead us to a real
discovery and understanding in mission.
For
both of us, the month of May was a time of great exposure and learning;
participating in Children Camps, Retreats and organizing various events for
children during this vacations in southern India. Each and every second spent
with the children taught us to be more humble and energized us to strive more
in reaching out the lost for His kingdom.
Camp Precious
2019: Bangalore, India
In
the year 2018, we were part of the TBRI training module and were certified as
Nurturers for children who struggle with traumatic emotional, physical,
spiritual and mental condition. During the training, the Lord helped to develop
a heart for these kids in and through our ministry.
Camp
Precious is conducted by a local NGO in Bangalore. At this camp, we specialize
in reaching and treating young children through a short residential program. The
primary purpose of this camp is to connect, affirms, intervene and celebrate
the children by creating good and positive memories in a safe and fun
environment.
These
children struggle with a wide array of issues including trauma, loss,
attachment and the often-accompanying addictive patterns of behavior and thought.
Few of the youngsters present with highly complex problems and require very
specialized approaches to initiate and complete the healing process. Among many
other approaches, the camp management brought together a TBRI (‘Trust Based Relational Intervention’ (TBRI
®) therapy-model) trained team to minister with the kids who are broken and
needed healing within.
Each
and every moment spent with this kids were golden time, because it was a time
of connection, affirmation, intervention and celebration of each child through
the camp.
We
were absolutely blessed! We were able to hear plenty of transformation stories
that energized us to serve these kids more in future through various events. We
ask of your continuous prayers that we will be to reach-out these kids.
We
are not allowed to publish any stories or photographs from the camp; as it will
directly affect the children in future. Hence a group photograph attached for
your continuous prayers.
Children Camp:
Wayanad, Kerala, India
The
Lord also gave us an opportunity to minister with tribal kids in Wayanad,
Kerala. We partnered with a local NGO and organized a short fun camp for the
children. We were able to minister to around 50 tribal kids in the camp.
We
carefully organized the camp by teaching life lessons through funny games. The
children were shouting, screaming and laughing throughout the camp. It was
beautiful time with these kids. We thank you for your prayers and support by
making this ministry possible.
“My Kids were
having a lot of fun on this vacation. One of the best days was given by these
two wonderful people Hanni B and his perfect partner Jeba. They travelled
around 7 to 8 hours continuously to be with our kids for the camp and came with
a lot of preparation for some exciting games. My kids were screaming, shouting,
laughing and having a great time. They also gave a beautiful message through
the games and through a few words at the end. We thank them for their love and
concern for our kids, excellent dedication to the ministry and God given
talents and skills. God bless them!” said by the Mr Edwin (Project Incharge)
We
praise God for enabling us to do this ministry in wayanad.
